NFL draft shutout won't hurt Tide, Saban says

During his 10-minute session with the media, he was asked if having no players taken in last weekend's NFL draft would affect recruiting.
"No, why would it?" Saban quickly answered.
Gotta say this for the guy, he seldom minces his words. But suggesting that recruiting is doing anything less than spectacular to Saban -- or that something could negatively impact recruiting -- is to see Saban least likely to mask his true feelings.
In short, his answered continued with this summation: Alabama will never be shut out of a draft again, at least not on my watch.

I think Saban was embarrassed for those seniors who didn't get drafted. On the other hand the seniors had opportunities and blew them. In front of national audiences they blew them. So the players can only blame themselves.

It won't hurt recruiting for him, I don't think anyway. They were not his recruits and new players are going to want to play for Saban. He has a tradition of winning.
