ATHENS, Ga. | The Alabama women’s golf team secured its third top-5 finish this spring season by placing third overall at the Liz Murphey Collegiate with a final score of 912. The Tide wrapped up its finish with a final round score of 303 (+15) Sunday at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

Junior Kathleen Ekey paced the No. 12-ranked Crimson Tide by finishing tied for third overall.

Ekey turned in a final scorecard of 220 (+4). The Wadsworth, Ohio native shot a final round score of 71 (-1), her best round of the tournament.
Junior Laura Goodwin finished the classic with a 13th place finish. Goodwin turned in a final score of 226 (+10). The Birmingham native shot a final round of 75 (+3).
Sophomore Rhea Nair placed tied for 15th with a final score of 229 (+13). Nair turned in a final round score of 80 to nearly miss another top 10 finish.
Freshman Courtney Harter and senior Sarah Sturm finished tied for 62nd overall with identical scores of 240 (+24). Harter shot a final round of 80 while Sturm turned in a 77 (+5).
Sophomore Helena Blomberg concluded individual play tied for 18th overall. Blomberg turned in a final scorecard of 230 (+14) and finished the third round with a 77 (+5).
