Hello Stoney,
I appreciate the information that you provide in this forum but I must say that I am disapppointed in the where have you been comment. I have read everything that I can find on this site and Rolltide.com. I am not a member of Rivals.com or any other on line have to pay for site. Bottom line is people like me depend on local news paper and television along with the info that we can find right here.
Thanks for the info on the kid from Michigan and the one from Brewton, finding info like that is why I joined this forum.

Have a great day,
Scott

Stoney, Have you heard anything on the recruits visiting today. Did we get any commits out of the bunch?

Re: Alabama Football Recruiting

Well, I keep hearing the talk about Bama's great recruiting class, but... according to Rivals.com (updated yesterday), they're currently sitting as the 19th ranked recruiting class in the country, and among those in front of them are Tennessee (2nd), Florida (3rd), LSU (4th), South Carolina (7th), Georgia (8th), Auburn (10th) -- even Illinois and Ole Miss are thought to have better recruiting classes. And the highest ranked committment they have for the Tide is #35 overall, LB Rolando McClain out of Decatur.

Is Saban's going to make such a big difference recruiting, we should start seeing some results here soon right?

Re: Alabama Football Recruiting

Getting players to come to Alabama shouldn't be a diffilcult task, Alabama led the SEC which is also the National Champion might I add in getting to the red zone we just didnt have the coach to get us the points. Saban brings that to Alabama (points) with an improved offense and not only getting to the redzone more but scoring more, Alabama is a top contender not only for a SEC championship but for a National championship as well, Alabama will play in a National Championship within the next 4 years that is why players should want to come to Alabama RollTide

Re: Alabama Football Recruiting

Have ever heard the expression, "It ain't over til it's over". Well, It ain't over yet. I think Bama will fair well. At the same time we need to remember that Alabama lost almost a month of recruiting with the firing of CMS. We lost one or two recruits who had already committed to Bama. It's liking claiming the NC before the season is over. Something may happen that changes things. And if we don't have a good recruiting class, so be it! We have a lot of talent at Bama aready and I can promise you they will be better this year. Only time will tell who wins in recruiting and that's when it is over..

FEB 10th will show whats what with respect to the recruits. Personally I think it is kinda silly to say who's going where till they sign the dotted line. Alabama is going all the way with the talent left over from last year and the new ones coming in it will be a sight to see come game time.

A whole bunch of players never get the exposure to the scouts because they play at small high schools. Saban is doing his homework the recruiting class will be just fine.

If you look at Rivals ranking of the colleges in recruiting, you can see the simply having MORE signees that another school will boost them past in the rankings, UA onluy has like 15-17 signees as opposed to UF who has like 27 or Ole Miss.

Stoney, I completely agree with you. You'll have experienced WRs this year, as well as OL, Jimmy Johns is a great RB but might change to LB which would be awesome, you have Mike Ford at RB if Johns moves to LB, of course, John Parker Wilson at QB, plus, you'll have a fairly experienced defense after last year, plus Alabama always has great defenses. Plus, I trust Saban. He knows what he is doing. Alabama had and still has a chance to do something special with their players, and you have certainty with Saban that Alabama will be a competetor with top colleges starting next year.
