Former Michigan QB coach Scot Loeffler is in town

TUSCALOOSA - Former Michigan quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler is in Tuscaloosa speaking with University of Alabama coach Nick Saban about the vacant position on his staff. "Who is Scot Loeffler: He was backup QB for Michigan from 1993-1995 until he hurt his shoulder. He backed up current Redskins superstar Todd Collins. For the 1998 and 1999 seasons, he served as a graduate assistant, coaching the scout team helping to tutor former All-Everything Drew Henson (and some scrawny kid named Brady). He then spent 2 years coaching at Central Michigan before returning to the Wolverines to coach QBs. During his time at Michigan, in addition to Henson and Brady, he coached such stallwarts as John Navarre and Chad Henne. He was also an enormous factor in Ryan Mallett's commitment to and subsequent withdrawal from Michigan. As far as Pro-Style QB coaches go, he's basically a lesser known David Cutcliffe with a strength in reading defenses."

God knows that is JPW's weakness. He needs somebody like this guy if he wants to compete for the job next year.

If Joe Pendry or some one else on staff is going to be the OC then this would be a great hire to help out with QB's.
