Alabama has given coach Mike Shula a new six-year contract worth $1.55 million per year. Good, I say. He's really helped turn that program around after the coaching debacles they had before him. The Tide went 10-2 last year and won the Cotton Bowl, and I definitely see them on their way to become an elite program again with this guy at the helm. What do you think?

If he can keep things moving in the right direction I think that Alabama can get back to the top. He is a great coach, and AL fans must be loving this...

I still can't comprehend how a coach can be good enough to get a new six-year deal in May, and then get fired not seven months later.

Hopefully they show a little more patience with Saban.
