TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama's coaches plan to focus more this week on the future than the present.
With the regular season complete and postseason uncertain, Nick Saban's staff will hit the recruiting trail. Saban professed no plans to work the current team until learning its bowl fate.
"We're going to go recruit this week," Saban said. "Until we know definitely what we're going to do, we won't have a planned schedule for the players." Bowl eligible teams are allowed to practice while waiting on postseason destinations. A bowl trip in Alabama's case, while not a certainty, was made more likely with a timely assist from Clemson, which scored a last-second 23-21 victory at South Carolina while the Tide was falling at Auburn.
