| Alabama football coach Nick Saban rips into his players TUSCALOOSA - The way coach Nick Saban sees, his University of Alabama football team is divided into two factions: The players who care and the players who don't. "And the ones that don't care, they shouldn't be here," Saban said. "It's not fair to their teammates, it's not fair to the institution, it's not fair to the people they represent. We will get it right, because we will get it right with people who care." The Crimson Tide (6-5, 4-3 Southeastern Conference) is coming off three straight losses, the most recent of which was to Sun Belt member Louisiana-Monroe. Only the Iron Bowl against Auburn looms on the schedule for sure. So Monday, Saban ripped into his players as harshly as he has all season. He questioned their character, he wondered why some of them made choices that led to suspensions, he lambasted the leadership, and then assaulted their commitment to winning. If football is important to the players, then "they don't disrespect rules and regulations of the organization," Saban said. "What guy would make a choice, if football is really important to him, knowing that it's going to affect him being able to play?" Full Story
