| Alabama football team has last chance for redemption against Auburn The losses, three in a row, have hurt. "Embarrassing" was the word often used to describe the Crimson Tide's 21-14 defeat to Louisiana-Monroe, only the most recent humbling experience. There is no time for a hangover. The Iron Bowl looms on Saturday, the final regular-season opportunity for redemption. "If we end up winning next week, a lot of people will forget about this loss," Alabama senior Simeon Castille said. The Crimson Tide (6-5, 4-3 Southeastern Conference) has plenty to play for: A chance to either solidify or improve its current bowl game standing, an opportunity to snap a five-game losing streak to its rival and its current three-game skid, and one more game to finish the season as Saban wants.
