Tide stands in way of Tigers' title hopes

The Tide-Tigers winner will have first place in the SEC West all to themselves as well as a clear path to Atlanta for the Dec. 1 conference championship game.

LSU (7-1, 4-1 SEC) is ranked No. 3 in the BCS standings and still has designs on winning the national championship. That dream ends if the Tigers lose at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama (6-2, 4-1) paid Saban, the former LSU coach, $4 million per season to win big games like this.

Actually I predicted this the only difference was both teams were undefeated. The SEC West Champion will be determined on Saturday.

Alabama wins big in a defining moment for the program. This is a bowl game before bowl season and Saban recogonizes the opportunity to redeem the season rests on what happens this weekend.
