| Tide offense faces another test TUSCALOOSA — Nick Saban pored over LSU tape for the past week and concluded LSU’s defense is as good as advertised. “There really are not any weak links on their defensive team. I think all the personnel is outstanding,” said Saban, specifically citing tackle Glenn Dorsey, linebacker Ali Highsmith and strong safety Craig Steltz. “They’re good in the secondary. They’re good against the run. They’re athletic. They’re fast. They can rush the passer. I think that’s why they’re one of the best defensive teams in the country.” The numbers are daunting, too. LSU ranks second nationally in total defense, giving up 232 yards per game. They are third nationally in pass efficiency defense, fourth in pass defense, fifth in scoring defense at 15 points per game and fifth in rushing defense at just under 72 yards per game.
