TUSCALOOSA - The controversy late in the game against Ole Miss? That's news to Tide cornerback Lionel Mitchell.
"I really hadn't heard anything about it," Mitchell said. "I don't really read the papers or watch TV."
Of course, Mitchell was the closest Tide player to the incident. He was covering Ole Miss receiver Shay Hodge when the 41-yard pass to the Alabama 4 was completed with seven seconds left.
That completion was reversed because Hodge went out of bounds before catching the ball.
"I didn't see that," Mitchell said. "I just knew he was behind me at first, and then I went to play the ball and quit paying him attention.
