The Crimson Tide wasn't forced into a punt until after halftime, which speaks to this day's theme of offensive domination. Quarterback John Parker Wilson and receiver DJ Hall took advantage of a welcoming defense by turning in perhaps their best performances of the season. It was especially nice for Wilson, who appears to have snapped out of his funk at the right time. Of his 265 passing yards, 140 were to Hall. Marks for the rushing attack would be higher had Glen Coffee not lost a costly second-half fumble inside Ole Miss' 5-yard line. As a result, Terry Grant resumed his role as Alabama's top runner with 16 carries for 62 yards.
