In The Nick Of Time

The recent article in SI, featuring Bama coach Nick Saban on the cover, is and excellent read. Admittedly, I am biased. I'm die-hard Crimson Tide. I recommend the article to all college football fans as the writer does, in my estimation, an excellent job of conveying what Alabama Football means to the people here. The funniest line in the article to me was when the writer was referring to Paul "Bear" Bryant and he said that he was so popular an animal was named after him.

The game last Saturday against Arkansas was the greatest, joyful, win I've experienced since Bama went down to Gainsville in '99 and shocked the Gators 40-39. It was, after much inner turmoil and dread at the prospect of blowing what should have been an easy win, pure joy and euphoria as the friends I was with just totally lost it when Matt Caddell caught the game winning TD with 8 seconds to play. We were all just running around through the house, in the yard, in the street, and finally just collapsing in pure exhaustion. My heart can't take many games like this, and I'm only 40.

Roll Tide Roll.

Re: In The Nick Of Time

Well get ready for the rollercoaster ride Saban is doing just like Stallings did in 1992 he just keeps on winning ugly but he wins. The Crimson Tide is getting underclassmen real time game experience that only builds confidence. They don't just get in during garbage time. The whole teams gets to play they don't redshirt. Frankly I for one am glad to see Saban let freshmen play if they are the best talent.
