TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama receiver Keith Brown and linebacker Prince Hall have been reinstated for Saturday's 11:30 a.m. trip at Vanderbilt.

But that doesn't mean they are assured of immediate playing time.

"It's up to them to show that they're ready and prepared to do that," Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said. "In fairness to the guys that competed in their place, they should have to compete with those guys to be able to play."

While never missing practice, Brown and Hall were not allowed to be with the Tide on Saturday night while serving a one-game suspension for violating team policies. Neither was made available for interviews Monday.

True freshman middle linebacker Rolando McClain received rave reviews from Saban after Saturday's 52-6 whipping of Western Carolina. Thus Hall likely won't start ahead of McClain, but could be used at another linebacker spot against the Commodores.

"Everybody knows he got in trouble," linebacker Darren Mustin said, "but this is a side of Prince I haven't really seen. He's been working really, really hard. He seems to know this defense better than hardly anybody out there."
