They are not going to fire Nick Saban Bama now has the Man that they have been looking for since Gene Stallings they will give him all the time he needs whether it is 2, 3, 4 years it doesnt matter everyone knows it takes time just look 80 something miles west MSU is starting to turn for the better they have improved maybe not in wins totally but how they played games and the last 2 years in actual wins. After all it is a process. Besides everyone knew the problems that this team had when Saban took over it was not going to be easy.

He sure didn't help himself out with the post-game comments. People calling for his head for the on-field performance will soon be joined by the families of 9-11 victims because of his press conference comments. He's going to be feeling a lot of pressure over the next several weeks, I would think.

Holy cow Stoney - Saban hasn't "done you wrong" he took over a program coming off probation, down on talent and searching for leadership. Given what he had to work with I think he has "done right" (except his 9-11 comment). In one of the preseason threads I predicted Bama would lose at least 4 possibly 6.

You totally misunderstood my point. It is this Alabama isn't like any other school and its fans are like no other. They will cheer you and if you lose they will tear you to shreds. Saban would have been much better off saying the blame belongs on the players because they play the game. Instead he tries to take some of the blame upon himself and the coaching staff. Accountability begins with the individual.

Easy Simple .... Saban has the luxury of having a bad year this year because he is playing with Shula's squad. Next year will be different and the year after that will be when the fans will judge him.

I suspect many Bama fans are second guessing the hire already - time will tell - he best win at least 8 or 9 next year.

If Bama's not playing for the SEC title next year, he's in serious trouble. They're not paying that kind of money for mediocrity.

Well when the dust settles and Feburary gets here the fury over this season will settle down. Especially if Saban yanks 30 scholarships and has basically a walk on class to get a shot at those prescious scholarships. If I were a Jr. College guy I would certainly throw my hat in the ring for a shot at a starting job at a Division 1 school.
