TUSCALOOSA - When the University of Alabama hires a new football coach, Jim Wells stops in for a meeting.

The baseball coach's agenda often includes this question: What's your policy on allowing football players to be two-sport athletes?
After a brief discussion with Nick Saban earlier this spring, Wells received an interesting answer.

I said, `Well, this might be a little different deal,'" Wells recalled. "He might actually let them play baseball. He wants them to go through spring training the first time, but after that, they're free to play. That's more than we ever had before."

Here is what I would like to see...

A 7ft tall center play wide reciever. Put him on the wing he doesn't have to be fast just have good hands. Either he catches the ball or it goes out of bounds. Secondly I would like to see someone from track and field that can high jump. Think about it 4th and 1 let the guy leap over the line. Bear bryant always had a leaper i don't understand why football has gotten away from that concept.
