The speed, Terry Grant style, is deceptive.

That's what teammate Lionel Mitchell said.

But maybe everything about Grant, Alabama's freshman tailback, is deceptive.

First, there's the speed with which Grant runs the football.
"Terry is so fast, if you don't get him at the line, you can pretty much stop," receiver DJ Hall said. "You're not going to catch him."

Then there is the speed with which he is bringing his speed to the field.
As a freshman last year, Grant arrived with much attention as the 2005 Mr. Football in Mississippi. Then when he rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in his first scrimmage last year, eyebrows arched and hopes soared.

In the third game of the season, though, he sustained a season-ending shoulder injury, which led to a medical redshirt, which makes Grant a freshman again this year.
