That was coach Nick Saban's biggest gripe following Saturday's scrimmage, watching ball carriers slither through the arms of defenders.
And he, um, expressed to the team a desire to see improvement.
"That was the main thing that we talked about in our meetings yesterday was tackling," safety Rashad Johnson said. "We did a poor job tackling and getting to the ball.
"He emphasized that a lot at practice. Guys who were slow getting to the ball, he was in there on their back the whole time."
