Kenneth Darby seeking Alabama rushing record

This amazes me - with the great history of running backs who have played for the Alabama Crimson Tide, none has ever recorded three straight 1,000 yard seasons. Current tailback Kenneth Darby could do just that in 2006, and with 1,077 yards, he would also break the school's career rushing record of 3,565, currently held by Shaun Alexander. Can the 5-foot-11-inch, 205-pound senior do it?

I don't see any reason why not. Of course he is going to draw a lot of attention from the defense, but he should be able to get to 1000. I say its a lock!

that is because we ran the wishbone. we had two tailbacks, plus the bear would substitute all the time, a fullback, and a quarterback who all shared the carries. that is why bama doen't have a heismen. bear was the ultimate team guy. uh-oh i refrenced bear bryant, i am going to get bashed for living in the past. ha, ha, ha, ha.

That's why Bear won he had a team that each player was interchangable and he sent right many to the pros.

Saban would do well to adhere to the wisdom of the Bear. Saban is a smart guy and understands and respects the tradition of The University of Alabama.
