With every coaching change in college football comes a certain amount of roster attrition, and fans of schools with a new incoming regime have come to expect a few jersey numbers to be vacated before the first game whistle blows.
Add to that the task-master reputation that follows new Alabama coach Nick Saban, and the potential for a players-only traffic jam to leave Tuscaloosa was in place. But it never happened.

They lost a couple of players but no impact players. Jimmy "Quitter" Barnes was never going to be a starter anyhow. Honestly he was third string material to begin with.
