TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama and coach Nick Saban secured a big junior college commitment Thursday from Terrance Cody, a four-star defensive tackle from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, Miss.

The 6-foot-5, 385-pound prospect recorded 31 tackles and 3.5 sacks this season. His team finished with an 11-0 record.

Cody, who will graduate in May, will take an official visit to Alabama the weekend of Dec. 7.


This guy is huge. If he plays DT he will have to be double -teamed on every down. Could you Imagine trying to block this guy?

Hey Scott doesn't this guy run a 4'7 40? If Saban lands him that ought to give him the #1 recruiting class.

They have him listed as 5.6 in 40 yards. Rivals has Bama ranked # 3 right now with Notre Dame #1 and Georgia #2.

Just thinking but what a run stopper or nose tackle this guy would be. I'm sure he is already thinking about playing in the NFL so he will look for good exposure. As far as recruiting goes Julio Jones will move Alabama to #1 on Feb 3rd. Anybody else will be icing on the cake.

Isn't he supposed to be a five star reciever? Oh and by the way can you tell me about a 3 star RB in Alabama that is 6'2 220 and has 7000 yds this season as a WR?
