Hannah's sons Charles, David and John also played for the Tide. John Hannah, an offensive lineman, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1991. He was introduced by his father at the induction ceremony, and in his speech credited his parents, Herb and Geneva, for his success. "They always gave it everything they had and a little more," John Hannah said. "They never failed to show us their love." Geneva Hannah died Sept. 20, 2005.
