I have been wanting a championship game in the Big 10 for years. It would make the season more exciting. There have been years where you know who is winning the division before the seasons over.

I agree 100% If you do not win your confrence you should not have a place in a BCS game. BCS does stand for bowl championship series, right?
As far as the SEC, we have the strongest confrence in America, 7 teams out of 12 in bowl games. I am a true Bama fan but still have respect for all SEC teams. I think we have all seen yhat on any given Saturday any SEC tem can win a confrence game. If you play in the SEC you had better bring your A game every week. What I want is for the enitre SEC to get the credit they deserve. Any SEC team that wins the confrence title has earned a shot at the National Title Game.

We agree that the SEC should get credit even more so because we produced the National Title Champion and destroyed the best competition.

I have despised Notre Dame all my life but unfortunately it is because they beat us two years in a row in bowl games in the early 70's by a total of 3 points, and cost us two more championships It also didn't help that Parsegian was their coach (I really don't like that guy.) Also, check the year of 1966 when the Irish was awarded Co-National Champion status without playing in a bowl game. Go figure. Now, we did play the Irish a couple of times in the regular season in the 80's. Won one, lost one I think. I would love to play them again in the regular season. But as far as them joining a conference, you can forget that. See, in conferences all the conference teams divide the revenue. TV revenue etc... Ahh but Notre Dame doesn't have to divide with anyone. They have their own TV contract with NBC (they receive millions and millions for that.) Then, when they go to a bowl game (such as the Sugar Bowl) all of their payout goes to, you guessed it, Notre Dame only. Teams like Bama, Florida, LSU and all the othere conference bowl teams must divide their revenue among their conference. That my friends is why Notre Dame will never join a conference. Now, as far as the Vols go, yes Tennessee has gotten the best of us a few years and my hats off to ya. Congrats. But lets not get carried away. Bama has owned the Vols up until recently, and I'm not even going to get into the whole National Championships discussion. Tennessee is a good school with a great college football program. But in Alabama football is a way of life, we don't want to win, we don't want a good record, we don't settle for competing. We want Championships. Because BAMA is synonimus with CHAMPION.

I agree with you BamaGal, I expect us to improve and continually get better, and hopefully challenge for the National title in 08 or 09. We've definitely got a good start in getting back to where we are supposed to be.
