Ok, I know that we have talked and talked about what everybody is saying about Nick Saban lying. But I was just looking around on ESPN.com and reading some articles they had posted over the past week or so since he came to Alabama. I read this one written by Pat Forde, titled "Saban only lied when his lips were moving" And there was a section of it that truly made me laugh! Here it is....


Obviously, telling the truth potentially can create some sticky situations. But this would be my suggested sample comment for a coach being sought for a job other than the one he now has: "Although I love the position I currently hold, I am a candidate for job X. I will not discuss it further until there is something tangible, be it an interview or an offer, to discuss. Goodbye."

Ok, lets get real, even if Saban had already expressed interest in the job and wasn't truthful do you really think saying something like this would be logical. I mean do you think that if this joker was offered another job from another network that he would say when asked, I love my current job, but I am looking into another one and will discuss it later if I have an offer or am leaving. YEAH RIGHT! What a complete joke. But that is what ESPN is now to me a JOKE! ROLL TIDE!!!!

The article doesn't sugggest the coach say he's actively looking towards a new job. It's actually a pretty good idea. All the coach has to say is: "I love my current job but I seem to be a candidate for job x. I will not comment on that."

Period. End of story. What's the beef?

because it leaves you open for losing your job! Nobody in their right mind would make that comment, you will never see it happen, and they just need to give it up! I mean come on, if I were being considered for another job, I would not ever bring it up to my employer. I think it is an insane idea, but that is what I expect from ESPN. My beef is as the major sports network, they need to be way more neutral than they are. It is flat out absurd! But just my opinion and is in no way intended to reflect the opinion of others!

I'M a die hard Miami Dolphins fan you guys can have NICK SATAN he didn't do any good down here anyways. I hope you guys dont let him recruit your players on his own because he stinks at it. He chose Culpepper over Drew Breese which was one big bone head pick. I'm very glad he left, now we can find a real coach that can coach. Ill put it that ALABAMA will not win more than six games next season.

It is not just Alabama, it is all teams in the SEC. You can't deny it! It is a fact that they do not give the SEC nearly enough credit! Anyway, I was just posting something that bothered me, and it made me feel better!

there are like 100 and something Division 1 NCAA Football schools.....Alabama went 6-7.........just how much love do you expect to get ?

you had a crap season and you just expect everyone to sugar-coat it, pat you on the back and tell you it will be ok ?

I agree with you SIMPLE SIMON Just because ALABAMA is in the SEC doesn't mean they deserve credit you need to earn your own credit before you can be givin credit. ALABAMA stinks now and will stink even more with the addition of NICK SATAN

See you are stero typing me. I realize we had a awful season, I will be the first to tell you that. I never once said we deserved any credit for how we played this year. But what I am saying, is that overall the SEC as a whole, that is more than just Alabama my simple friend, does not get enough respect. I agree all divisions should be respected, and I never once said, correct me if I am wrong, that Alabama deserves to be praised for their season. But ESPN does say a lot of sh!t about Alabama and some other SEC schools for that matter that they don't deserve. Lets take for example Notre Dame, who has the d!ck sucked by ESPN on a daily basis, and they in no way deserve all the praise they get. There are plenty of teams in the SEC not including Alabama this past year that could KILL Notre Dame on the field, but still they ESPN is their little B!tch. I am not just passionate about Alabama, and I am in no way dumb to the fact that we had an awful year and have had several. So please know exactly what I am talking about before you assume I am asking to have our losing season sugar coated! Thanks! )

I am sorry sweetie that we took your coach, and you are bitter. But you like Simon must not read. I said the SEC as a whole does not get enough respect, that doesn't mean in any way that I think we had a good season last year. Bitterness gets you nowhere hun, hence the reason I am not on your teams threads trash talking. If Alabama stinks so bad, why in the world do you feel the need to be in the Alabama forum. That I have never quite understood!

Well let me extend a personal invite... The University of Alabama fans have a love hate relationship with the rest of the SEC. We love to beat them and hate to see them lose outside the SEC kinda like a brotherly conflict. It is okay for me to beat up my brother but don't you even think about it. All you got to do is change that icon of yours to something like a hound's tooth hat or a Crimson Tide symbol and you'll be in buisness. Who knows how many friends you could have?
