Nick Saban Shows His True Colors

Quote:
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — As Nick Saban sat in his new office, he expressed some of the frustrations he dealt with in his old one.

The former Dolphins coach, who was introduced Thursday as the new head coach at Alabama, said he had trouble working with General Managers Rick Spielman and Randy Mueller during his two years in Miami.

He also said he left the Dolphins in better shape than he found them, despite his losing record in two seasons as head coach.

Saban slams GMs on way out

what a cowardly loser

couldnt even say how he felt before he left Miami.........has to wait until he is surrounded by his Saban Kool-Aid drinking followers in Alabama

Like you've never bit your tounge and expressed your true feelings somewhere else more comfortable. If you're married I know this is the case. If you have never been married you'll get to bite your tounge often and that you can take to the bank.

What does this have to do with the man having a bad NFL record and saying he did a good job?...

Honestly, I think Wayne H became a Bama booster last week just to pony up the rest of the money Bama needed for him to get Saban to leave...check your booster records, see if a fellow name Wayne made a great big contribution last week...

Timing is everything and so is couth something long forgotten by the NFL. Ever since free agency came about coaches realized they too were "FREE" to offer thier services to the highest bidder. So blame it on the greedy NFL owners association for this debacle.

Re: Nick Saban Shows His True Colors

Now then we have that straight let's move to the college ranks. ALABAMA wants to prove to the rest of the Nation that they are as good as any pro franchise when it comes to spending money. Really you can't blame them they got snubbed every time a pro franchise has come available. Saban is drawing on ex-NFL help like former Panthers linebackers coach Kevin Steele. OHH Whee when he had talent to work with his schemes were devestating.

Can't argue with that logic...still think they overpaid for the coach they got though...

one slight difference

youre only a free agent when your contract runs out

people in the NFL dont shop themselves around to other NFL teams when still under contract

Just you wait and see what Tressel's contract looks like if he gets a win Monday.

Since when did that matter in the NFL or College football? Teams fire coaches left and right.

Re: Nick Saban Shows His True Colors

Okay Simon let's see how simple we can make this. You said people don't shop themselves around while under contract. HMMMMmmm....

How about in your own backyard MR. BILL-A-Check stiffing the J-E-T-S ?
Or Mr. Parcells when he was with the Giants?
Or Marty {gotta wipe the tears outta my eyes} Shottenhimer at KC
Gotta love John Gruden and Oakland got two first round picks for him.

So what have ya got to say bout that?
