| Re: Rome is burning! The Left Coast only has USC and Pete has done a good job. But Jimmy boy is not old enough to have see classic Alabama games or hasn't taken the time to watch old game tape to realize his mouth overloaded his pants. They will come to fear Alabama again because Saban unlike Shula will win and will restore the Dynasty to its rightful place in the record books. Actually he is the only sports program I tune out. The guy is really boring and just cutting guys down isn't funny. I wish they could get a taste of WFNZ 610 AM "Pimetime with the Pacman" I have to give cudos to Mark Packer I could listen to his program all day long. It is funny and informative and the guy actually goes to the games he is a fan's fan. So lookout national radio Billy Packer's boy is making a name for himself. |

| Re: Rome is burning! I keep wondering what everyone means by "THAT KIND OF MONEY" - rumor has it that the TICKET SALES ALONE - FOR ONE (1) GAME is over 4.5 million dollars - so I think bama can afford to give a good coach "THAT KIND OF MONEY" (that doesn't even include commercials - advertising - concessions etc) |

| Re: Rome is burning! Really? I mean, the Mets winning percentage was better than Alabama's last season, so... if the Mets suck, what does that say about Crimson Tide football? Seriously, guys, I have no real problem with Bama football, but if you're going to keep making outlandish statements and accusations like this, then people like me are going to have to be forced to respond in kind, trying to keep everyone grounded in reality here.

I can understand why empire is lashing out as a mets fan. At least Alabama is taking the right steps to cure the losing. The mets are doing nothing that's why thier cross town rivals pick on them so much. |

| Re: Rome is burning! What losing? The Mets were 97-65 last season and won the NL East, for cryin' out loud. They made it all the way to the NLCS, where they eventually lost to the team that won it all, the St. Louis Cardinals. So I dare say the New York Mets are at the level Alabama fans hope Nick Saban can elivate the Crimson Tide football program to. |

percentage. Personally it really hurts worse to get so close to the top and fail. It takes alot out of a team and makes it that much harder to get there next year. |
