I am pretty sure this was a trash Saban board, not trash Alabama fans. I am new to this board, but doesn't that break the rules. Sure wouldn't want to be on a website that can say stuff like that about me. Just curious, because I have seen a lot less stuff than this edited.

tghe whole point of my statement is that at the begining of this thread it clearly states Saban praising will not be tolerated.....period

and yet some people disregard that completely and post praise anyway

BamaGirl, you are right...but there are hundreds of threads a day...if you see something that's not cool report it to an Admin, and we will take a look at it...

The intend of the thread was not to insult Bama fans in general fashion, though the same would apply for a Bama fan attack on Auburn fans or Yankees etc...and there are post that in good nature poke fun at these other fine folks...

Hi, back on topic. I question Saban's ability to handle the press since he so clearly said, paraphrased, I will not be the next head coach at Alabama. He didnt' handle the press well at all. Bama coach has gotta be able to talk to the press.

And did anyone see Jimmy Johnson on New York 1 on Saturday slam Saban as having a "condescending" (almost a direct quote, as Jimmy actually said something like "condenscending", but I got his drift...) attitude toward the press? I thought that was interesting. Of course, ole Jimmy was a Dolphina coach, so it stands to reason.

Personally, I'm psyched about Saban, but ever-cautious, as Tide fans have certainly had the rug pulled out from under us NUMEROUS times in the past couple decade or so. I'm sick of it.

But seriously, Lefty et al, what team, university, owner, etc. would hire Saban if he leaves Bama in the lurch in 2-3 years, it would be insane. And who could afford to pay him more in the college ball world? hardly anyone. I think it's do or die here.
