The punctuation on the Nick Saban Error is greasy and greedy. You know what he was as Dolphins coach? A failure. A loser. A gasbag. And one of the worst investments Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga has ever made. He was less of a success than Dave Wannstedt and more of a traitor than Ricky Williams. There has been very little in franchise history that came with more expectations and fewer results than this hypocrite who at the end avoided the hard questions one last time.


Talk like a warrior. Behave like a weasel.


Maybe Saban would be better off in college. Because, in the pros the last few days, he has looked like a complete and utter amateur.


He will be remembered in these parts as a quitter and a liar. He leaves the franchise in last place, with what used to be his good name somehow far lower than that. And for this he'll get a $25 million raise and more job security in Alabama. Makes you wonder what USC's Pete Carroll or Ohio State's Jim Tressel are worth, doesn't it?

I doubt too many Tide fans will be too, too sympathetic, but this is exactly what they dealt with when Franchione left. It really is a shame that there's so much lying, betrayal and backstabbing in the coaching industry these days. I just wonder if he will turn around and, after a few years, do to Alabama what he just did to the Dolphins -- leave 'em high and dry for greener pastures.

I like what the guy who is sitting in for Dan Patrick this week on ESPNradio said earlier. In 3 or 4 years when let's say the Cowboys job, or another high profile team, has a head coach opening, Saban will say "I'm not interested in that job, I've not even talked to anyone". Then do a 180 and accept the job. BAMA, don't be too excited. He won't stay long.

Even if he doesn't stay long, he will stay long enough to turn things around and most likely have a good enough assistant who will step in as head coach. Or if that does not happen we will at least be in enough of a better place that getting another coach shouldn't be nearly as much of an ordeal as it was this time.

None of that is guaranteed. I mean, I keep going back to Larry Brown, but the analogy fits. Brown enjoyed success at many of his stops, but he struggled with the Knicks. Saban could well struggle at Alabama. Then what? I mean, I hate to be bringing this up today, cause you guys should have a grace period to enjoy your new hire. But with all the money going Saban's way, I hope for your sake he does work out.

I hope it works out. And I agree we do deserve a day to enjoy this victory. I mean before this everyone was giving us grief saying we were delusional that Saben would never come and that no one wants to coach us. And now that he is coming, everyone is finding everything else negative to say. True he denied coming, but what coach doesn't. If I recall Tommy Tub said the day before he accepted the Auburn job that he was not leaving Ole Miss. That is just how it is. And in NFL I belive they are not allowed to even talk to another team till after regular season, so Saben did what he had to do, and that is just the way the cards fall. I have been a Bama fan for as long as I could talk and I have just learned to accept that we are a very hated team, but good times will come again! )

The dolphins shouldn't have invested so much in him in the first place. He's a great college coach who didn't want to stay in the NFL.

Let's see... oh I remember you guys... you were the ones posting saying Saban wasn't coming and were agitating the faithful in Bama Nation. Well guess what you guys don't know JACK. Most of you are bored because your teams are in disarray. Well note this Bama finally got it's act together and got the coach they wanted. Next is the #13 National Title. So when next September rolls around go ahead jump on the bandwagon Bama Nation won't care. Because we will take back our rightful position in college football as a year in and year out threat to win it all!

What do you expect Miami news to say? I don't blame them for all ill feelings toward Saban. Heck I still pull for any team that plays Texas A&M after what coach Fran did. So what. Everyone acts like this is so horrible and can't believe a man went into contract negoiations bluffing. You, me , all of us do it. Every time we buy a car, buy a house or bid on an item on ebay we hold back and bluff. So let only people who are willing to always show there hand cast stones!
