I know that we all as fans want to put all this behind us and to move forward. The dismal end of the 2006 football season and the firing of Mike Shula has left the crimson nation in disarray not knowing who is going to be the coach and if Mal Moore can get his man so to speak. As this coaching search started in late Nov. Till now and as we count down to wether or not Saban will be Alabama’s Head Coach. And I hope that he does as do all of us . And salvage what is left of the recruiting season and build some depth on defense because that is the weakest area as of now with the lost of 6 starters with four being of the front 7. With Saban a defensive coach, Maybe he can sway some of the top defensive recruits to Bama. Just wishing for now though.

It'll be joy for you guys -- that is, if both ESPN and the Sun Sentinal are right. They say Saban has decided to accept the Alabama job, and with the money the Tide are offering, who can blame him? We'll find out officially soon enough, but barring yet another complete reversal of fortune (ala Rich Rodriguez) it looks like you guys have your football coach.

From your mouth to god's ears. I always liked Saban when he was at LSU, but he'd better be the best thing ever if we're literally selling ourselves to him for this kinda dough. I'm DYING, someone make it official!
