Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

The Huntsville Times and the Mobile Register reportedly say Saban has been acquired by Alabama for a five year deal the terms are undisclosed.
The formal announcement is set for Januaryy 2nd and in a suprising move Mal Moore will step down as Athletic Director and Saban will assume full control. Jimbo Fisher will come onboard as offensive coordinator and Joe Kines will remain on as defensive coordinator. Dave Radar will move to quarterbacks coach.

For those of you who are non-believers go to google type in Alabama Football News and go to the second page "Read it and Rejoice".

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

I don't see anything yet.

I doubt Saban makes a decision before the end of the NFL season.

Re: Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

Regardless of what any media outlet reports, I believe there is no way a coach would agree to such a deal while he still has a job. Saban wouldn't voluntarily leave Miami, and he hasn't been fired. He still has a job to do and I guarantee you winning this weekend's game is a whole lot more important to him right now than negotiating with Mal Moore.

Re: Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

You do not know enough about Nick Saban to make that post. Saban will not become the coach at Alabama. Please let it go. We need to focus on getting a good, solid coach. We have tried for Saban and failed. Our program has been embarrassed and we do not look good nationally. We need to quietyly hire a quality coach that is not such a huge name. Mal Moore needs to go. I am getting grief at work from a bunch of Aubs over this situation. This is not the Alabama that I grew up on. I want the old Alabama back.

Re: Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

I won't believe he is coming until he is introduced as HC at Bama. It would be nice but I don't think it will happen.

Re: Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

Saban has already started to assemble his staff for his arrival to UA, among which is Freddie Kitchens.

I have a big glass of milk ready for all you negative non-believers to wash down the humble pie with when he publicly accepts the job

Kitchens? Is that true? Wow, I get the link! Kitchens works for Parcels as tight end coach. He was at Miss State under Croom before that then a smaller college and guess where before that? An internship under ........................ yeah buddy, Saban! Supposedly Parcels wanted him because his offense is similar to the offense Saban ran at LSU when Kitchens wa there in 2000. Kitchens will be awesome! Who else does he have lined up? I heard there was a connection at the Titans.

Yeah, Swifty, what say we just go dig up the Bear? You have to roll with the changes, and whether Saban announces today or we move on for another coach, this is the Alabama we have. The Aubs are just putting the "ob" in Aub-noxious. Don't let them get to you, really. They'll be singing a different tune when we get a good coach!

Re: Saban headed to Tuscaloosa

That they signed a 5-year deal on 12/28? No, I still don't believe that.

That Nick Saban is now the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide? Yep, that I believe.
