Don Shula

Did anyone see ole Don dissing UA on MNF. He said bama needs to get it together and would tell anyone to never go to UA to coach. I new it was coming sometimes. He is the master at dissing programs.

He deserved it though. It wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't coming from daddy Shula though. I know he has to take up for Mike though and understand that. He really wasn't as bad as he could have been though. I just hope he really don't think that Mike is a great coach. Hell he is not even a average coach.

Well, let's see what happens first - Shula landing a new job, or Bama hiring a new coach. Should be interesting.

Shula will not have a new job in the next year... Why would he want one... If he gets one and gets paid less than 4 mil in the next 4 years they will make it up to 4 mil (bama). If he doesn't get a job but is trying to they still give him 4 mil over the next 4 years... If he gets one and makes 4 mil or more in the next 4 years he gets nothing from bama.... So, why would he even half way try to get one this year? I don't think he will

I totally agree he more than proved his incompetence several times this year. Nobody is even going to offer him an assistants job. I hear there may be a pee wee coaching job coming available in Jacksonville Florida.

Re: Don Shula

Not gonna argue the fact that he had a bad record,,,but cut the guy some slack. He took over a bama program that was just about dead and showed class in doing so.Enough of the mike shula bashing,he served alabama well and when he was fired didnt have a bad word to say about alabama. He is young and will become a good coach in due time because hes a true alabama man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mikey has kept his mouth shut and that shows class, his Dad just blew his classy act on national TV. If Mikey wants a job he ought to look at a coordinator job with someone like Miami and get the job on his own merit instead of riding daddy's coattails.

I agree,

Mike is a class act, maybe not the coach for AL but nevertheless. did not turn coat. Remember, Don had David fired from the Bengals and Mike from AL. He acted like a father who loved his kids. Rather Stupidly, but with love for his offspring.

Re: Don Shula

We'll trade Mike Shula for Saban. Even steven. That way the Dolphins won't have to look for a coach when we snatch Saban on Tuesday! Shula can call all the plays with an earbud mike with daddy on the other end.
