Mal Moore

I belive once we get a new coach at bama,we need to get a new athelitic director.Mal Moore should be relived after this coaching search. We went through Dubose,Franchonie, never gave Price a chance, and Shula.Who wants him heading this search anyway.Dont forget "probation" under Mals watch. I belive Ozzie Newsome, just to name a few would be a great AD, or get stallings in here, he would clean this so called athelitic department out, then run paul bryant jr, and the friends of bear, who are ruining our beloved program, out of town.

Re: Mal Moore

I believe that everything rises and falls on the shoulders of leadership. The same guy who hired all these bad choices, also hired Shula. He then committed another questionable act by firing Shula after giving him an extension only a year earlier. At some point, the Alabama atheletic department has to consider a new AD, but didn't Mal just win some award at UA? Also, I wonder how much longer they can keep Gottfried. He doesn't seem to be getting the $$ he deserves if they were going to pay Rich $2mil or Saban $5mil.

Re: Mal Moore

Mal needs to retire after they hire Saban. Then the University of Alabama should hire Stallings.

Re: Mal Moore

Hey, now that Saban is in, will Mal be out? The reality is that was a big signing for Mal.

Re: Mal Moore

Good question. My gut reaction would be that Moore keeps his job for now with this hire, but with the money he threw at Saban, he better hope the new coach works out or else he WILL be gone.

Re: Mal Moore

I'm all about Stallings. Moore is an idiot with no patience. He could have saved a lot of heartache and money if he had left Shula alone. But since he didn't, at least we have a proven winner taking over in a tremendous amount better situation than poor Shula had.

Re: Mal Moore

Mal should retire now that he has saved face and go out on a high note. Think that the next A.D. could be Ozzie Newsome. But Mal is not calling the shots any way (like that wasn't already known) And as far as Gene Stallings don't think he would want to be A.D. as it stands now. The real problem is the board of trustees. Don't think anyone else would wants the A.D. job thats for sure under present conditions.

Suprise suprise Mal is going to step down to hand the reigns over to Saban who will pull double duty.
