Next offer to Saban Word is that as soon as the Dolphins are mathmatically out of the playoffs then he will take the UA job. UA is supposedly going to offer 5mill for the first year. Buckle up folks.

Re: Next offer to Saban I really don't think their is a chance he will take it. At the beginning of all of this he said " Why would I want to go back to college, If I wanted to stay at the college level I would have stayed at LSU. That was a great job." He had everything going for him at LSU. Now maybe I am wrong, and I hope that I am, but I just don't think he will take it. The only way he might consider it is if his contract clearly stats he has full control over the whole football program.

Re: Next offer to Saban Bama needs a coach who WANTS to be in Tuscaloosa, not a guy like Saban who plays coy and holds out for bigger $$$$$$. Saban is a good coach, but I just don't think he is a good fit. Wait and see how Kines does in the bowl, and all the games are over, and see who is interested. (Was the last rumored offer to Saban 5 mil?!?!?!)

Re: Next offer to Saban The question is, who is that word coming from. My money is on Sexton, the fountain of misinformation.

Re: Next offer to Saban Sexton has said over and over noone has even talked to him (Sexton) or Saban, but Saban slipped up during a press conferance about a week ago and said that Sexton has talked to UA. So, who knows that they are thinking. I really don't think Sexton wants him to come.

Re: Next offer to Saban I don't think this is going to happen..... and if it does what exactly does that say of Saban after all he has been quoted as saying "No, I am not going to Bama." Will Alabama fans and the team keep him at arm's legth, while always keeping him in the same catagory with Fran, after the way he left for A&M. I think If there is one thing people can always depend on out of Saban is the truth and if he comes to Bama that makes him a liar a few times over. I don't think he is a liar. Where is all of these salory offers coming from????? I have read absolutly nothing of a offer or a plan to offer him anything. Only that we are interested. If anyone knows a site that I don't giving these salories or proving bama has spoke to him please advise. If we are going to offer that kind of money, just maybe we should look at someone who might be tikled crimson to come to tuscaloosa......like say the Boise State coach or "oh my goodness" the Troy State coach. These guys have proven they can win game in there conferences with very little program appeal.

Re: Next offer to Saban At first I had a very hard time believing it myself. My brother knows a source on the inside. Alabama has been dealing with Saban's agent so Nick can honestly say he is not in negotiations with Alabama. Personally I had hoped they were going to get Gruden. Check out the Mobile Register a local paper in Mobile Alabama thier guys seem to know more than other papers.
