Rush Propst?

We all know who Rush Propst is. He's the head coach for the Hoover Bucs.

He has created a dynasty for HS football in the State of Alabama.

I would like to see him be the offensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide, especially if it pays more than the hc position at UAB.

I don't think the Tide would be ready to give him a HC position, but it would be a wonderful asset for the Crimson Tide.

Anyways, my choice for head coach at UA is Jeff Tedford from Cal or Frank Beamer from Virginia Tech. Either would be good.

Re: Rush Propst?

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, didefresh2007

We've had alot of talk about Rush Propst in other threads here and I think most poeple agree that he'd be a good addition to the staff. Not head coach material yet.

The problem is that the next HC will probably bring guys with him, at least for the OC & DC spots. Especially if he's somebody that's as big name as Beamer or the other names that have come up with this spot.

Look forward to talking mroe with you.

Ya in a way I like beamer, but some of his players has had dicipline problems in the past. Look at this year it got so bad he had to say he was going to fine them for every personal foul. I don't know if it is him or the players he recruits, but we are in need of someone with dicipline.

I DON'T THINK RUSH WOULD BE GOOD OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. HE IS A GUY THAT LIKES TO BE IN CONTROL OF THINGS. WHOEVER THE HC WOULD BE, RUSH WOULD TRY TO OVERPOWER HIM. IT WOULD END UP BEING A BAD SITUATION. BESIDES HE IS PROBABLY GOING TO UAB.

Propst is an OBNOXIOUS ''low-class'' Redneck......insulting his players on National TV! That ended ANY chance of him getting a College job, and why UAB didn't even give him a look!

Re: Rush Propst?

There is a reason he is a high school coach and hasn't moved up in the world. Alabama is looking for a NFL guy with class and someone that can restore our civic pride and dignity.

Re: Rush Propst?

Those sort of coaches are soon to be ancient history. TV did them in you just can't continue on in the Good Ol' Boy traditions just ask NASCAR how many "Bubbas" do you see? Sure they are better drivers but they also aren't pretty or speak like a model. That is why all the beer swigging fat boys are racing somewhere else besides TV.

Are you kidding me almost every football coach in America is like this. I wouldn't have wanted to play under any other coach. Getting yelled at and insulted lit a fire under our ass and we played hard. When I graduate I am going to teach hs and coach 'ball. I will be one of the several others who carry this on. Most of you are eiter protective parents or kids from other schools who hoover has beaten. If I had kids I'de love for him to come up to Ohio and coach them he teaches discipline and hard work. That is what kids need.

All I have to say is this Bear Bryant inspired his players to play hard. He was a disclipinarian without being a idiot like Propst. Saban is a fine coach who understands the "BEAR" philosphy and that is why he is at Alabama rather than a redneck wanna be high school coach. Nuff said.
