A quality interim coach may be worth consideration. We should not approach this with the inclination to meet some kind of recruitment date deadline. Hiring the wrong coach now could cause Alabama a mediocre record for next 4 to 5 years. This could cause further decline in recruitment and the possibility of 7 to 10 years without a top national program. We should be patient. An interim coach for a year with the result of a quality hire at the transition point could save Alabama much heart ache for years. Let's do it right even if that takes a year to do.

That would be a bit awkward, especially for Seniors and incoming freshman. The guy would be a lameduck coach and everyone would know it.

I disagree with you in that sense. However, they should take their time and make sure they get someone who they think is the right guy to lead the program.

I agree with you on the interm head coach thing, if they can't get a quality head coach this year. But, I would make kines that coach. I wouldn't go out and find someone outside of the program. That would take care of some of the odd feelings with the seniors and incoming freshman. They would know he was not their to stay. But, the seniors know him, they have been around him for years, and he knows them. Who knows, Kines might be a great HC. I mean our recruiting is already screwed, so they should take their time. We can afford an interm head coach, but not another HC incident like has happen in the past 6 years. If that happens again I really don't know if UA will EVER recover.

i feel most of us missed this season.we should be undefeated right now.we were in all the games till the end,just a few bad calls.we have a talented group coming back with a year of experince.joe kines defense is as good as gold.i sy lets let him lead us to glory for number 13 next year.roll tide roll baby.
