Re: Alabama Offers WVU's Rich Rodriguez

Rodriguez, for the record, had just signed a 7-year deal with WVU. And he looked those players in the eye and said he was going to stay with the Mountaineers. It's a shame, I'm disappointed that he's bailing on the West Virginia program.

Situations in life change continuously. You either move forward or get lost in the dust. It is disappointing that Rich might be signing with Alabama today. All the news reports down here say the deal is done. Wednesday night at Church a representative from a large soft drink supplier in the area said that the deal was already done and the announcement would take place in 48 hours and here we are. Watch the news this afternoon...

Everybody would like a better job that happens to pay better. Do not look at it as a sell-out, look at it as a career move. It is a smart move that can eventually land him a coaching job in the NFL. You cannot fault a man for wanting to advance his career. I had to leave WV to advance my career, because the state had nothing to offer in my field. Much like Homer Hickam, I did all my early development in WV, but I had to leave to advance my career.

Remember, at lot of great people came from WV. I will alway pull for the Mountaineer's, but I will also pull for the Tide in support of Rich Rodriquez if he makes the move.

If you want to talk a little good natured smack, that's fine. But not as an anonymous poster. Unregistered posters should either log in or tone it down here in our Alabama forum.

WVU #3 rated -- we got coach Rod, a Sugar Bowl in hand a Gator Bowl coming, two top contenders for the Heisman in 2007 and 15 wins more than Alabama over the last 10 years --- Why would he want to go to Alabama ---- see you in Shreevport Alabama fan.

Re: Alabama Offers WVU's Rich Rodriguez

For the WV poster.... I didn't care for your coach anyway. Your team plays in a sisters of the deaf and blind league so they should win 10 games a year. But know this ...Saban is coming.
