While it's not unanimous, alot of people think that Mike Shula can be a successful coach if given the right chance.

Where do you think he ends up?

Will he return to the NFL as a position coach or a coordinator?
Will he find a head coaching spot at another college?
Will he take a coaching position under a head coach at another school?
Or will he be golfing & fishing all the way to the $bank$ ?

Because he was fired, he gets the rest of his contract up-front...no matter if he takes another job...correct?

I think he can bounce back on his feet realatively quickly. Of course, we don't know if he'll want to take a year off and settle everything before jumping back on the wagon or not.

Conspiracy Theory - Shula takes over University of Miami. Don cut a deal with Bama and agreed to pay back the 4 million. Mike's wife and parents saw the opportunity to get the family back to town. Mal Moore agreed to say they fired him so it would not look like another Franchione and not shame the Shula name or Bama.

Now of course I have no idea as I write this if the Hurricanes have hired anyone

I personally can't imagine Mal Moore willingly taking this kind of heat just to protect Shula. Just can't see it.
