With the recent opinion in the Mobile Press Register, many Tide fans are calling for the University to fire Mal Moore.

We've just seen Mike Shula fired after 4 years as head coach. Was that Mal Moore's decision? Do you think Moore should be fired or should he stay as Athletic Director?

Mal never made it to be be a head coach.

Why?????

Inability to make good decisions.

He questioned Mike Shula's decision making ability. That's the pot calling the kettle black.

Mal Moore is a joke other than the fact he can dangle a two million dollar job in front of you.

Alabama will never be on top as long as Mal is in charge.

Mal Moore handled the dismissal of Coach Mike Shula in a very unprofessional way. It appears that decisions regarding Alabama Football are being handed down by those with money, short-sightedness, and impatience rather than by those who have the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to have a successful college football program. Who in the leadership at UA is too weak to stand up to the short-sighted whims of the "Big Pocketbook People?" Anyone with common sense should be able to figure out that Mike Shula needed 1-2 more years to have been given the opportunity to fulfill the challenge that he was willing to tackle when noone else would! The timing and manner in which Mike Shula was fired is disgraceful and I am ashamed of Mal Moore and Dr. Witt!

I Agree We Will Never Have A Good Coach Come To Alabama,, If They Have Any Sense, As Long As Mal Moore Is There. How Can You Renew A Contract One Year And Fire Someone The Next Year Especially When You Don't Know If Someone Better Will Take The Job. Mal Moore Should Have Taken The 4 Mil. And Him And Dave Raider Left Themselves.

I agree.They fired the wrong guy.I have been a Roll Tide fan al my life.I know alot of people upset about the firing of Mike.I believe moore should of been the one to go.

I am furious with whoever had the audacity to fire Mike Shula! If it was Mal Moore, then he is a total moron. If it was Witt, then he needs to go. I felt like going to the players and saying everyone of you should quit until they rehire Mike! He is the best thing to happen to Bama since Gene Stallings, and Mike is young enough to be around a long time like the Bear was.

As Long As Mal Moore Has A Hand In Any Aspect Of The Football Program The Tide Will Always Be Lacking. He Has Done Alot For Alabama Byt It Is His Time To Go. Gee whizz Mal --good name for you..what does it mean in Spanish? Even the ol' Bear had 6-5 seasons after a 10-2 run it's called breaking in the new QB ...it takes a while to get on a roll ...tide ..Is it too late to get you to leave and bring Shula back ...heck he is only 41 and has already beat Spurrier in his own backyard...I feel sorry for my Bama when they have to play Shula ...The Shula's are like elephants...they never forget...His Daddy got beat by Tom Landry (who called his defense "a bunch of no-names") Shula went on to beat Landry 9 straight times - Joe Willie Namath bested Shula's Colts in 69' ...Shula's fins pounded the living daylights and knocked the broadway out of Joe'w knees...Even ole Pete Caroll put up a choke sign ...he got ran out of the AFC east back into college coaching..yes Mal this move will haunt you...I must roll-over now......roll-over tide.......roll-over

What mal Moore does not understand that it takes time to build a young team.We had alot of Freshman players this year let alone a So. quarter back.Moving up for high school to college ball is a whole new thing. Mal Moore did not give Mike Shula time to get this new team in order. Mike may not be another Bear.(There can never be another Bear) But there was a good chance of bringing Bama back around to another National Chapionship.I guess we all can thank Mal Moore for that dream not to come around for awhile...
