Mike Shula deserved another year as the Bama coach. He had a new quarterback this year, who has great potential, along with many other promising players. I am an Alabama alumnus and I are upset that Mal Moore, President Witt, and the trustees chose to fire such an outstanding young man as Mike Shula, who is one of our own. He played his heart out as a quarterback at Bama and was working to build a winning team at Bama when the rug was yanked out from under him by Moore and Witt. I think Mal Moore should resign as the Athletic Director.

This is the second time in over 45 years I have been ashamed to be a Bama fan ...the first time was the way the University handled Bill Curry and now this time with Mike Shula...just no class! Yeh we have lost to Auburn and Tennessee more then we should have BUT most everyone else has been loosing to them to .... Mike deserved a fair chance to straightin out what Dubose and Mal has screwd up....

100% Fire Mal Moore. If it wasn't for Bryant Jr. he'd have been gone a long time ago. It's time to get an AD that will move UA forward in to the 21st century, not hang on to the glories of the past. Players today weren't even born when Bear coached his last game.

Mal Moore is why Gene Stallings left Alabama-- and we have had one coaching debacle after another ever since-- I think it is time that the university takes a long hard look at the management of the athletic department-- what coach wants to come to a program in which even after coaches win national championships are treated with total disrespect in front of his players? Respect is what a coach wants-- and until it happens-- we will not have a consistent coach at alabama.
